Bethany, Mangalore 25 February 2019: The 4th day of Bethany Formators’ Meet at ‘BIRD’, Umsning, Meghalaya was blessed by the presence of Sr Rose Celine the Superior General who was given a cordial welcome by Sr Lillies the Asst. Superior General. Her inaugural address to the formtors was on the theme “The Spiritual Accompaniment”. She brought home to the Formators the various aspects of the formation through close observation and living very empathetic towards formees.
Together with our superior general Sr Rose Celine and Sr Lillis the coordinator and all the formators responded joyfully to the invitation for the multicolored festival of North East at BIRD through the cultural evening showcased.
An experience of ‘Sangam’ of all the tribes and plain of different states was a feast to our eyes. Bihu dance from Assam, Wancho a mesmerizing dance and Singpho dance of Bethany College Arunachal Pradesh, Rongmei dance from Manipur, Khasi dance from Meghalaya, by BIRD trainees, song by Bethany Champions, Umsning and Bharata Natyam by the Sisters from South India was a time of relaxation and enrichment.
Unfolding of all the cultural dances truly left a lasting memory in the minds and hearts of all the participants.
Our hearts played the melody of gratefulness for the pains taken by Sr joy and all her sisters, staff and students of various institutions, to gather them at BIRD.
Sr Juliana and Sisters, Sr Clara and her staff will ever remain in our memory lane for the backup support to their provincial and team.
Our cheers are due to Sr Edleburgh the organizer who with her magnetic force, united the seven states for an illumination of North East. Long live the traditions and be the source inspiration to the rest.
