Bethany Mangalore 18 February 2019: Participants of Bethany Congregational level Formators’ Meet were accorded a rousing welcome at Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Ariport Guwahati by the Sisters Bethany of North East Province. They were escorted to Provincial House by the Sisters and the Candidates who were draped in North Eastern attire. As they arrived the Provincial House Guwahati, Sr Joy the Provincial Superior extended a floral welcome to Sr Lillis the Asst superior General and all the participants. The Bethany School students and the School band played a welcome note.
In the evening the Inaugural programme was marked by prayer service and a North Eastern Cultural extravaganza during which each participant was gifted with Assamese Gamosa and a tea bag.
The four days meeting commenced on 15 February by with the message by Sr Lillis BS the Assistant Superior General and the Coordinator for Fomation. Thereafter Dr Fr Philip MSFS took the sessions on Integral Formation and Cultural Integration.
Sr Rose Celine the Superior General will be addressing the participants on ‘Accompaniment of the Formees’.
The venue of the meeting is “BIRD” Bethany Institute of Resource Development, Umsning a project launched on the occasion of the 50th Death Anniversary of Msgr Raymond F C Mascarenhas, the Founder of the Congregation. The week long programme will be concluded with a visit to the formation houses in Shillong.
