March 8, 2017: ‘Where a woman is honoured, there God is praised’
salutation to Women Convicts of Dharwad Central Jail! The Sisters from Bethany Provincialate, Kripalaya and Presentation-Dharwad, together with the Women’s Cell members of the Parish joined the 17 Women Convicts for the International Women’s Day celebrations on March 8th at 4 p.m. to share the joys of womanhood with these deprived women who were far from their families and the society at large. The programme was the joint venture of Shanthi Pragathi Kendra run by the Sisters of Charity under the able leadership of Sr Irene D’ Silva, SCCG and the Senior Citizen forum-Hebic Memorial Church, Dharwad.
