The long-awaited day dawned for the 17 Pre-Novices from Mangalore, Northern and Eastern Province who were initiated to the Novitiate on 7 June 2023 at Rosa Mystica, Kinnikambla. Sr. Cicilia the Provincial Superior of Mangalore Province, Sr Erasma the Provincial Superior of Northern Province, Sr Jessy Maria the Provincial Superior of Eastern Province, Sr Lilly Periera the Provincial Councilor of Mangalore Province, Sr Leera Maria the Superior of the community, the sisters from the community, tertiate and the candidates from St Joseph’s Home were present on the memorable occasion. The initiation ceremony began at 10:15 am with a prayer led by Sr.Priyadarshini.
The Pre- Novices entered the chapel with lampslit singing the Bethany Anthem. They were then initiated to the Novitiate by Sr.Cicilia Mendonca the Provincial Superior of Mangalore Province. Sr.LillyPerierain her message invited the novices to be available to the Lordat all times and to set the priorities in life. This was followed by a short felicitation programme with the theme “Quest for the Living Water”. They were greeted with flowers and songs. Sr Cicilia in her felicitation message askedthe Novices to remain open and to empty themselves of all that doesn’t please God in order to fill oneself with the living water. They then expressed their sentiments of gratitude.
