Bethany rejoices over the entry of the 19 candidates into the portals of Pre-Novitiate at Bethany, Bogadi. 19 candidates of 4 Provinces were initiated to the Pre- Novitiateon 9 June 2023. The day began with the Eucharistic celebration invoking God’s blessings on the candidates who were resolved totake a step forward in their spiritual journey.
Sr Sahana the Provincial Superior of Bangalore Province, Sr Erasma - Northern Province, Sr Jessy Maria - Eastern Province, Sr Priya Rose the Assistant Provincial Superior of Southern Province, Sr Reena Rose the Procurator of Southern Province, Sr Hilda Dias the Pre-Novice Directress, Sr Jyothi Dooru the Assistant Directress and Sr Agnes Rita the member of the community were present on the joyful occasion. Sr Sahana initiated the 19 of them through a meaningful prayer; 10 from Eastern Province, 5 from Northern Province, 3 from Bangalore Province and 1 from Southern Province. ‘Remain in the love of God’ were the watchwords echoing all through the ceremony.
The initiation prayer commenced at 10:30 am, as the candidates entered the chapel with lighted lamps in their hands singing the Bethany Anthem. Sr. Erasma through her inspiring message motivated the Pre- Novices to have desire for Jesus, to listen to his gentle whisperings continually and to love Christ more dearly. This was followed by a short felicitation programme. The Pre- Novices were greeted by the assembly. Sr Sahana invited them to live the first five alphabets of English; A-abide in Jesus, B-belong to Jesus, C-communion with Jesus, D-desire Jesus and E-enjoy the Journey to reach the desired goal. The Pre-novices then introduced themselves and expressed their sentiments of gratitude. The programme was compeered by Sr Jyothi Dooru.
