24th March 2017 was indeed a red letter day for Bethany as a 180th community of the congregation and 19th community of the Northern Province was joyfully blessed by Bishop Oswald Lewis and inaugurated by Rev. Sr. Rose Celine the Superior General of the Congregation in the presence of Sr. Jyoti the Provincial Superior her Councillors, Sisters from the Congregation, priest and religious of the diocese.
It was on 1st November 2014 Bishop Oswald Lewis invited Bethany to the Diocese of Jaipur, pink city of Rajasthan. On 24th March 2017 the dream of God was realized and Bethany was born to carry forward the mission of Compassionate love of Jesus. Sr. Vanitha Veena as Superior, Sr.Clarice and Sr. Amira are the pioneering community to carry on the ministries of Pastoral and education.
St. Anselm’s School building was blessed on the same day .The lovely campus and its beautiful edifice of the school was entrusted with the responsibility of starting and administering on behalf of the diocese. The school was solemnly inaugurated on 6th April 2017 by Mr. Ram Lal the MLA of Chomu and Bishop Oswald Lewis of Jaipur. Sr. Vanitha Veena B.S is the principal of the school and Fr. Jose Annickatt is the Manager. At Present there are 15 staff and 240 students have taken admission from classes HKG to 5th.
Chomu is located 33 km away from Jaipur. Chomu is famous for its bumper groundnut crop every year. Due to the availability of sweet and fresh water, fruits and vegetables that are grown here are famous for their good taste. It is connected with Jaipur and Sikar with National Highway No.52 and it’s here the St Anselm’s School is located to impart quality education to the students. A special function was held on 3rd of April to mark the launching of the school. Sisters along with the staff working tirelessly to give value based education to the students.
