May 9, 2017: Northern Province has the joy of sharing with the viewers about the starting of another school in the Province. The new school which will eventually be a Higher Secondary School is located in Samalkha, Haryana State close to Delhi.
So far the community at Samalkha was involved in Socio-medical work.
On 12 April at 6 pm the tiny city witnessed a huge gathering rejoicing at the opening of this school. The SDM of the city Mr Ashwani Mengai was the Chief Guest and Sr Jyoti, the Provincial Superior declared the school open. The Chairman of the municipality, Block Education Officer, Municipal Councillors, the police officials and many other dignitaries were present on the occasion. Sisters and Priests from neighbouring communities showed their support by their presence.
Sr Helima, the Principal of St Theresa's Karnal lent the service of the staff and students who presented cultural programme and presentations. All those present were treated to a cup of tea and snacks. 29 students are enrolled for classes LKG and UKG.
