The feast of the Visitation of Mary on 31 May was an auspicious occasion, well chosen for laying the foundation stone for the extension of Bethany pre &primary School, Vikuge. God’s choicest blessings were invoked on the new project with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist at 11.15am by Rev Fr Irudaya Jacob Prabhakar, the Parish Priest of St Francis of Assissi, Kongowele, Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.
Rev Sr Antonette Coutinho, the Delegation Superior, Sr Shanthini the Superior and Sisters of Bethany Convent, Vikuge, representatives of the parents, teaching and non-teaching staff, students, the main engineer, and his team were present. Following the Mass, Rev Fr Irudaya Jacob Prabhakar blessed and laid the foundation stone as well as the building area. After the blessing all participated gratefully in the fellowshipmeal, thanking God for making possible the new initiative.
