Bethany Mangalore 2 February 2019: Bethany Provincialate, Bangalore, Feb. 03, 2019 :“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever” (Psalm 107:1). These words of the psalmist were also the words of our dear Sr Ann Teresa and Sr Marie Imelda as they recalled the wonders of the Lord and raised their hearts in gratitude to God for His love in these past 50 years of their life in Bethany. January 26th, 2019 was a day to rejoice in the love of God that is reflected and made alive in the love of our jubilarians.
The thanksgiving Eucharistic celebration was officiated by Rev. Fr Xavier Mannavath, the Episcopal Vicar for Religious of the Arch Diocese of Bangalore,along with five con-celebrants. In his homily he invited the jubilarians to focus on the horizon of God’s love.
After the Eucharistic celebration the jubilarians were felicitated in the provincial house hall. A fitting felicitation programme was arranged by the Jyothi Nilaya community. The Jubilarians were felicitated by the Provincial Superior Sr Bonita, Sr Susan, the Superior of the community, and Sr Precilla, the ProvincialCouncillor. At the end of the celebration thejubilarians expressed their sentiments of gratitude to the community and the family members. After the celebration a delicious meal was served to all those who were present.
