Tertianship – Year of Preparation for Perpetual Profession

The Juniorate finds its culmination in a serious preparation for perpetual commitment. Therefore, an extended period of time, in the last year of the Juniorate is set aside during which further deepening and integration of all the elements can take place.

1. A deepening of the appreciation of consecrated life and the mission of Christ
2. Providing time of quiet and prayer in order to be more docile to the action of the Holy Spirit
3. Guiding the sisters individually towards furthering the capacity to interiorize the Gospel values and the spirit of the Constitutions
4. Enabling the sister to re-order her value system, bring her needs, attitudes, and desires in line with the values of Christ and in accordance with the spirit and charism of the Institute (Const. 113).

Goal: Experiencing deeper intimacy with Jesus leading to self- transformation culminating in perpetual commitment to Christ in the Congregation

Objectives:

1. To arrive at a deeper experience of God, through growth in prayer leading to a total commitment to Jesus
2. To deepen one’s love for the Institute and to grow in creative fidelity to the Charism and Spirituality of Bethany
3. To offer an experience of a deeper living of community life, reflecting Trinitarian culture
4. To be effective in the mission in the present context for a just and humane society
5. To re-order and integrate various dimensions of consecrated life with the values of Jesus
