Bendur, 11 May 2022: It was a red letter day to the Congregation of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany, Mangalore, as the 17 young and energetic silver brides of Christ renewed their consecration to the Lord. They were thrilled with joy and gratitude to God for the marvels God has done in and through Bethany for the past 25 years. The Solemn thanksgiving Eucharist was officiated by Most Rev Dr Robert Miranda, Bishop of Gulbarga on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 10.00am at Bethany Mother House Chapel, Bendur, along with Fr Cedric Prakash SJ and Fr James Domic. In his homily, Fr Cedric Prakash invited the Jubilarians to sing their own Mangnificat after the example of Blessed Mary.
Sr Mariette, the Coordinator for Renewal progrmme warmly welcomed the gathering. The silver Jubilarians were felicitated during a short programme organized in honour of them at St Raymond’s Hall. Rev Sr Rose Celine BS, the Superior General greeted each one of them on behalf of the Congregation. Sr Shanthi Priya, the Asst.Superior General, Sr Mariette, Sr Santhosh Maria and Sr Sandhya, the General councilors and sisters from different communities were present to witness the faith journey of 25 maidens and offered their best wishes to the Jubilarians. They in return thanked the Congregation for all the blessing they received in their life. With a festal meal the day’s programme came to an end.
