We commend to your prayers our dear Sr M Peace BS [NEP] aged 97 yrs who passed away from this life on 21st January 2018 at 5.10 a.m. in the 77th year of her Religious Profession at Madonna Convent, Kolasib, Mizoram. She was born on 31.01.1921 in Jeppu, Mangalore.Her funeral rites will be held on 22 January 2018 at 10.00 a.m. at Kolasib, Mizoram
After her Religious Profession in 1941, Sr Peace rendered her services in Belgaum mission and in different communities of North Karnataka. She was transferred to Northeast Province in the year 1978. She was at Madonna Convent, Kolasib, Mizoram for the past 37 yrs and took care of the hostel children as a mother would.
Sr Peace was a tender, loving, motherly person who captured the hearts of all. She served as a teacher from the very beginning of her ministry. She took care of hostel children in many hostels being the hostel Warden most often. With her enthusiastic capturing smiles and polite ways she greatly endeared herself to young and the old alike not only in the community but also to the parishioners and priests and religious in a special manner. As in life, so is she in death; she carried her ever vibrant and enthusiastic commitment till the point she breathed her last. She never missed the community exercises and was a source of edification to everyone. On behalf of our Superior General Sr Rose Celine I pay a loving tribute to her and pray her blessings on all of us to be committed missionaries wherever we are.
Eternal Rest Give her O Lord
