Sr Vincent BS (85) nee M.C. Tresa of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany, Mangaluru passed away on 16th July 2017 at Concetta Hospital, Kinnigoli at 3.30 pm. Funeral celebration is on 18.07.2017 at 3.30 pm at St Raymond’s Convent, Vamanjoor. She hails from Arkula, Idukki District, Palai Diocese and is the daughter of late Chandy Jacob and late Mary. She has rendered service in Bethany Mother House, Mangalore, Mother of Mercy Convent, Kirem, St Raymond’s, Vamanjoor, Rosa Mystica Convent, Kinnikambla and Shanthi Rani Convent, Siddakatte. Sr Vincent BS is a person of prayer. She found joy in serving the sisters and people in simple ways through manual labour, cooking, gardening and maintaining cleanliness in the house and outside. She was deeply rooted in the love of God and shared this love with every person whom she encountered. She did little things with much love for the glory of God. In the community she was generous in helping the sisters and did joyfully the other responsibilities of the community. She was a champion of simplicity, humility and cheerfulness. She was always concerned about the well being of others specially the sisters in the community. She was a devotee of Mother Mary. On the feast of our lady of Mount Carmel, Bethany’s Foundation day, she flew to heaven to celebrate it with Bethany band in heaven. May her soul rest in peace
