Silchar Province witnessed the release of four books in the Provincial House, Silchar on August 10, 2021. The books were 1) Presence - Solidarity –The significance of Jesus Christ for India Today in the Writings of Samuel Rayan SJ and Elisabeth Schussler Fiorenza by Sr Surekha Lobo BS 2) Walking in the Sunshine- a compilation of the life experiences of Sisters in North East Province edited by Sr Mary Naulak BS 3) Khasi Translation of the First Mangalorean Servant of God Raymond FC Mascarenhas facilitated by Sr Tresa Martis BS and 4) Mizo Translation of the First Mangalorean Servant of God FC Mascarenhas facilitated by Sr Teresa Zothanpari BS.
All the four books were released by Sr Lucious the Provincial Superior of Silchar Province in the presence of delegates of the Provincial Chapter and members of Holy Family Convent, Silchar. It was the first ever book release event held in the new Province of Silchar. The first book is the doctoral thesis of Sr Surekha and the other three are part of the centenary projects of the North East Province and that of the Congregation. We hope and wish that more and more Sisters come forward to produce literature on our Founder, Founding members and on our heritage and culture etc.
