April 19,2017: ‘Great things happen when God mixes with us’ – these lines of a hymn have become true today as the 13 Novices of Rosa Mystica Novitiate, Kinnikambla, made their Temporary Profession. The Eucharistic celebration was officiated by Rev Fr Victor Machado, the Parish priest of Holy Cross Church, Cordel. A befitting sermon was preached by Fr Walter D’ Souza OCD. He invited the newly professed Sisters to keep their gaze on Jesus and become joyful religious by accepting every moment of the day as God’s will. Sr Cicilia Mendonca the Provincial Superior received the vows in the name of the Church. She congratulated the newly professed sisters for their daring yes to the Lord in the modern world and thanked the Novice directresses for their accompaniment and parents for offering their daughters to the Church through Bethany Congregation, to serve in the vineyard of the Lord. Sr Sylvine Sequeira compaered the programme, Sr Lisa and Sr Cecilia DSouza introduced the newly professed sisters; Sr Reena and Sr Rita thanked the gathering. The presence of priests, Sisters from different Congregations, friends and relatives added joy and beauty to the celebration.
