Nov 7, 2016: The Bethany Educational Society, Mangaluru Province organized a Science Model Competition to the students of Primary and High School under Bethany Educational Society (R) Mangaluru Province on 7th November 2016. 140 students of 28 Schools participated in the competition. Rev Sr Shalet D Souza BS the Asst Novice Directress of Rosa Mystica Novitiate presided over the function.
Mr John Valder the Associate Professor and H O D of Electricals and Electronics Department of P A Engineering College, Mangaluru was the Chief Guest. He inaugurated the Science Model competition by sending a Rocket which works according to Newton’s third law. While appreciating the venture of the Bethany Sisters, he applauded the students who presented the models in a creative manner, innovative ideas, and utility of the project and the impact of the research study. The learning of science should help us to contribute our share for the welfare of the society.
Sr Mariola BS, the Province Councillor and the Coordinator for Education of Mangalore Province was the convenor of the Science Model competition. In her welcome address, she highlighted the features of the millennial children in this digital era.
