Berhampur Nov 18: It was indeed a rare opportunity for the students and staff of St. Vincent’s Convent school, Berhampur to be a part of a grand event. On the occasion of the successful eradication of Polio, the Rotary club, Berhampur  had set upon a challenging task  to make an attempt to enter into the Guinness Book of world Record by making the largest image of the human foot print with a total participation of about 1800 students. This event was held on 24th October at the Berhampur stadium. The teachers and students put in their best efforts to achieve this goal. They were duly supported by the members of the Rotary club and other dignitaries.

Mr. Santanu Chouhan from Asia Book of Records and Mr. Bhusan Chouhan from the India Book of Records were the adjudicators. The enthusiasm among the students was quite evident as they earnestly and patiently participated in this event braving the scorching heat and extreme humid conditions. Certainly this was once in a life time opportunity and students will cherish this memory forever.

The success of this event is attributed to the dedication, hard work and the team spirit of the students and teachers. Unity is strength. When the power of prayers storm heaven God is sure to grant us all that we ask for. The symbolic foot is an outcome to eradicate Polio. The intercession of our supplication of 1800 youngsters, staff, Students and the management are a focal point in the radical eradication of polio of teeming millons altogether.
