Feb 9, 2017: 17th January 2017 was a red letter day for all the sisters who lived in Jharmunda Community. Our hearts were filled with gratitude and joy that overflowed within us as we recalled the path we had travelled in these 25 years in Bethany Convent Jharmunda. We thank the Almighty for accompanying us in marvelous ways.
The celebration of thanksgiving Eucharist was officiated by Rt Rev Bishop Niranjan Sual Sing the Bishop of Sambalpur along with 14 priests of the diocese. Bishop appreciated the sisters for the hard work done for the people, in spite of great challenges. It was a joyous day for all of us that Sr Wilberta, our former Superior General, presided over the programme. Much more than that, it was during her time as a provincial superior of Northern Province the mission at Jharmunda was started. Sr Shaila, our present Provincial Superior, guided us constantly for the success of the programme and her councillors supported us.
