November 3, 2017: The 5th Provincial Assembly of the Eastern Province was held at Carmel Nivas, Kokkar, Ranchi from 27th to 30th on the theme ‘Contemplation, Communion and Compassion’. The Superiors, heads of the institutions, and formators participated in the Assembly. Sr Shaila, the Provincial Superior, accorded a warm welcome to the participants. Sr Mariette, the General Councillor, the resource person, dealt with Communion of hearts and minds, role of the Superiors, Servant leadership, Mary in the mystery of Annunciation and the life of Fr Founder. Coming together as a Province was an enriching experience; ultimately participants realized that ‘one who kneels before God knows how to stand before the World’. We were enthused within to be committed to our mission and to be effective leaders of our Community.
