Mangalore 21 April 2023: The Perpetual Profession of 08 Sisters belonging to Mangalore and Bangalore and Eastern Province held on 21st April 2023 at Rosa Mystica Convent, Kinnikambla was a memorable occasion. The Solemn Eucharistic celebration was officiated by Most Rev Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore Diocese and concelebrated by 6 priests at 9.30 am.

In his homily Bishop highlighted the sacrifices a consecrated person is called upon to make, through the profession of the vows of chastity, poverty and obedience. Religious profession is an act of total surrender of one’s will, one’s possessions and love. A religious is called to embrace the world with the love of Christ.

Sr Rose Celine BS the Superior General of the Congregation received the vows and accepted the sisters as full-fledged members of Bethany family. She congratulated the parents of the Sisters and thanked them profusely for offering their daughters to the service of the Lord through Bethany. She invited the professed to be an evangelical witness to continue the mission of Jesus.

Sr Rose Celine thanked God for the gift of 19 tertians belonging to 13 dioceses of India who went through intense preparation for their final vows. who will be making their perpetual profession in their respective Provinces in Kadru ( Ranchi), Gadag, Silchar and Punjab.

Sr Cicilia Mendonca the Provincial Superior of Mangalore Province accorded a warm welcome to all the gathered during the felicitation programme. Sr Shanthi Priya, the Assistant Superior General, Sr Mariette, General coordinator for Formation, Sr Sahana, the Provincial Superior of Bangalore Province, Sr Bridget Pushpa Das, the Tertian Directress, Sr Anitha Stephen the Assistant directress, Sr Leera Maria the Superior, the family members of the newly perpetually professed, relatives and a large number of sisters participated in this sacred and joyful event. Sr Sr Sharon Preethi compered the programme.
