16 January 2021: Indeed, with great desire and expectation to drink deep from the springs of the charism and spirituality, 18 young junior sisters from 7 provinces and 11 states of the country arrived at Bethany Mother House, the birthplace of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany, on January 16th, 2021.

The common juniorte programme, an intense period of 3 months formation, commenced with a meaningful prayer hour led by Sr Priya Rose, the Junior directress and Sr Mary Diki the asst directress along with Sr Maklin during which the formees were lovingly invited to enter into the sacred period of their life. The soul stirring reflection of Sr Lillis the Asst. Superior General and General Coordinator for Formation on ‘Bethany scene’ from the Gospel beckoned them to give priority to grow in intimacy with the Lord, being prepared to waste time sitting at the feet of Jesus and gazing at him as Mary did.

Thereafter the juniors went to the altar and lighted their candles symbolically placing them in the presence of the Lord as an expression of their resolve to dispose themselves to the action of the Holy Spirit, to be formed unto the image of Jesus, singing ‘Christ is my reward and we shall never turn back’.

After a brief self-introduction, they were welcomed warmly and felicitated cordially by Sr Lillis, the Assistant Superior General in Pushpalaya hall in the presence of the General Councillor, Sr Shanthi Priya, Sr Christine the Procurator General, Sr Anitha Shanthi, the Superior, members of the Generalate and Mother House community and were assured of our prayerful support for the fruitfulness of the programme.
