Bendur, Mangalore 23,2018:Bethany Generalate and Mother House community celebrated golden jubilee of the Religious Profession of Sr Lillis the Asst Superior General and Sr Jyoti the former Superior General on 20, October 2018. An exquisite and meaningful celebration marked this great occasion with a solemn thanksgiving Mass officiated by Bishop Emeritus Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza with 5 concelebrants. Bishop in his homily stressed on the preciousness of religious life. At the end of the Eucharistic celebration Bishop emeritus was thanked for his pastoral care to Bethany Congregation and his interest in the cause of Founder Msgr RFC Mascarenhas.
Thereafter the felicitation programme began to the tune of drum beats and dance by the tribal candidates from Jharkhand and Orissa. Felicitating the jubilarians Sr Rose Celine, the Superior General highlighted the beauty of their consecrated life for 50 years and significant contribution made by 2 stalwarts Sr Lillis and Sr Jyoti for the growth of Bethany and Church through their selfless service. She expressed her deep sentiments of gratitude on behalf of Bethany and all those present for the occasion. They were honored with shawls, bouquets, garlands and a citation. The presence of their family members added to the beauty and joy of this great event!
