Bethany, Bendur, Mangaluru; October 17, 2018: 15 October 2018 was a significant day in the history of Bethany Congregation. On the Feast of St Teresa of Avila, a Carmelite spiritual giant and Doctor of the Church, Inspiring Plays authored by Sr M Theresine BS was releasedby Sr M Rose Celine BS, the Superior General of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany,in the presence ofan august gathering of sisters of Generalate community and Bethany Mother House community. Sr M Theresine BS in this book expounds the heroic lives of the saints bringing in inspiring dialogues, comedy, tragedy, and fun in a creative and captivating manner.These plays inspire many to live a life of holiness after the inspiring lives of the saints whose holy and heroic lives are depicted in this book.
Sr Theresine was congratulated and felicitated by Sr Rose Celine, the President of the programme, and Prof Edmund Frank, Dean, PGDBM, St Aloysius College, Mangalore, the Chief Guest, and others,with a shawl,a bouquet of flowers, and a basket of fruits. She was appreciated for her great contribution of writing such dramas which require spiritual depth, love for saints, a creative mind, and an aesthetic sense. Sr Lillis presented her the citation expressing deep appreciation of her person and her yeomen service to the Church and society through Bethany Congregation. Words of appreciation and thanks were expressed to Sr M Dona BS for her initiative to compile the dramas and get them printed. All rejoiced in the Lord for the precious gift of Sr Theresine,for her art of leading people closer to God through plays.
