In search of Jesus…..
June 6th 2018: It was an important day in the history of Rosa Mystica Novitiate, Kinnikambla. Ten Pre-Novices were initiated into the portals of the ‘Power House’ with lighted lamps symbolizing their readiness to burn for Jesus their Lord and Master. A meaningful prayer service was organized by the Novice Directress Sr Sharon and assistant directresses Sr ShaletDSouza and Sr VeenaLaveena. Sr CiciliaMendonca, the Provincial Superior of Mangalore Province, initiated the Pre-Novices to the Novitiate. Sr Assumpta, the Provincial Superior of Western Province, gave the reflections on the Word of God and invited the Novices to abide in the Lord as the fish abides in the water. She also brought home the importance of Community Life by citing the unity and support of the Geese. Sr Santhosh Maria, the Provincial Superior of Southern Province, presented the Cross and the Book of Constitutions to the newly initiated Novices.
A short felicitation programme was put up by the Second year Novices. They shared their experiences of the past one year through a panel discussion and depicted the importance of seeking God without any attachments through a skit.
Sr Sharon, the Novice Directress, welcomed the gathering. Sr Precilla Fernandes, the Provincial Councillor of Bangalore Province, greeted the Novices and wished them well. The presence of Sr Juliana Monis, the Superior of Rosa Mystica Convent, and the community Sisters doubled the joy of the Novices. The programme was concluded with a hymn to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
