Four days’ annual meetings for Socio-Medical, Youth, Hostel and Vocation Animation ministries were organized at Bethany Provincial House, Gorchuk from the 8thto11th February, 2018. The theme being ‘Be the Bearer of Jesus’ Light’ was enumerated through all the sessions in different ways, such as, reports, feedbacks and action plans.
Sr Lucious BS and Sr Edleburgh BS, the Province Coordinators for these apostolates, presented the realities of human trafficking and problems faced by the youth. They urged the participants to respond adequately and to passionately love the youth, Bethany Champions, Hostel Children and to make a difference in their lives.
Sr Joy, the Provincial Superior of Northeast Province, in her message inspired the members that the youth whom we cater to are full of power and energy which can be positively channelized for the building the Church and society. She exhorted the senior Sisters to give timely guidance and to share wisdom with the young Sisters and called upon the younger members to use their youthful power and creativity for the community.
Highlighting on the theme of these meetings, Fr Johnny P.D. SDB, the resource person of the day, invited the participants through his lively PowerPoint presentation to be a small candle to the youth and to present Jesus as the light of the world.
All the participants were actively involved in evaluating as well as planning the activities and were on fire to carry out the action plan for the year 2018-2019.
