Bangalore 7 Feb, 2017: The Bethany Pre-Primary School L.K.G. day and Sacred Heart School prize distribution day, Basrikatte Chikkamagaluru held on 24 January 2018, was a unique event this year. It created an indelible mark in the hearts of everyone.
Rev. Fr Vincent D’souza, the parish priest, Sacred Heart Church, Basrikatte, the president of the day, emphasize d that parents must be honoured for they are always pillars of support on which every child relies. It is they who tap the inherent talents of the child. He added saying parents and teachers must be the models for the children. He expressed his appreciation for L.K.G students and the interest the parents take.
Mr. T H Krishna, alumni and teacher of the Higher Primary School Sangameshwar, the chief guest, speaking on the occasion, highlighted the importance of education and perennial guidance rendered by the teachers in the all round development of the child. He distributed the prizes recognizing the achievement of the student.
Mrs Mary M. D’souza, a retired teacher of our school, was the guest of honour; she distributed the prizes and congratulated the students for their performance.
Sr Lydia, the head mistress, and Sr Dulcilita, the correspondent of the school, welcomed the dignitaries. Sr Lydia, the headmistress, in her key note address expressed the purpose of L.K.G. and thanked all the benefactors and Bethany Educational Society.
The cultural programme staged by students, that included folk dance and a skit, rhymes and stories of L.K.G students held the audients spell bound. The performance of the little tots created a good impression in the area and everyone had a word appreciation and gratitude.
