July 27, 2017: Sr Rose Celine, the Superior General and the three Provincial Superiors in Karnataka of Mangalore, Bangalore and Western Provinces – Sr Cicilia Mendonca, Sr Bonita and Sr Assumpta respectively, participated in the deliberations of the 22nd Annual Assembly of Karnataka Regional Conference of Religious (KRCR) convened at Ryshivana Mangaluru from July 21 to 23, 2017 on the theme: “Collaboration: A vision received, a mission shared”. Different eminent personalities disseminated the theme. Dr. Rajaram Tolpady, Professor, University of Mangalore dealt on the topic, “Contemporary India- Challenges and Opportunities”. On the 1st day Fr Sebasti L. Raj SJ delved through, ‘Collaboration and networking within the Church, among the religious institutes, lay collaborations and networking with like-minded groups and organizations’. Sr Cicilia Mendonca was elected member at this annual assembly to the Executive Committee of KRCR for a period of three years. The inaugural Eucharist celebrated by Bishop Aloysius Paul D’Souza of Mangaluru diocese and Bishop Lawrence Mukkuzhy of Belthangady diocese on the second day and Rev Fr Pius J D’Souza, OCD on the final day, provided refreshing and rejuvenating time to all the participants. The gorgeous breathtaking view of the Arabian Sea, embracing Nethravathi River along with Gurupura River could be enjoyed from Ryshivana, situated on the hillock. It provided an invigorating experience, making this get together of religious priests, brothers and sisters at this annual assembly a fruitful one.
