Having accomplished her mission on earth, Sr Mary Susheela BS breathed her last on Saturday 26 November, 2022 at 1 pm at the age of 68 and 45th year of her religious life at St Joseph's Convent KR Nagar, Mysore Dist. Sr Mary Susheela BS hails from St Francis Xavier's Church, Chikkakammanahalli, Bangalore. She was the youngest child among the nine children of late Mr P. Paul and late Lourdmary. Her sister Sr Maria Louisa BS left to her eternal abode on 10 July 2022.
She used to spend time in intercessory prayers before the Blessed Sacrament and recitation of the rosary for the needs of the whole world. She had her Primary and Secondary school education at St James School Mariyanpalya Bangalore and High School Studies at St. Mary's High School Shivajinagar Bangalore. She joined Bethany in 1973 and made her First profession in 1977 and perpetual profession in 1983. She had her further studies in Vivekanada College of Education, Arsikere.
After her profession, she served as a loving and dedicated teacher in our institutions at St Michaels' Convent Dandeli, Jeevan Jyothi ashram Mankale Sagar, St Mary's Convent Arsikere, Loyola Convent Gadag, Bethany Convent Bangalore, Seva Sadan Doddabelavangala Mary's Convent Dahanu, Bethany Convent Ankola, St Martha's Convent Mudigere. She was an efficient and loving teacher and headmistress. She has rendered commendable service in the field of education. She was very creative and a good composer. Her loving nature made the students to be keep in contact with her. She involved herself in pastoral activities such as teaching catechism, visiting the families, attending SCC meetings and visiting the sick. Her compassionate love for the needy was an inspiration for all and she helped many students to complete their education.
She was transferred to St Joseph's Convent K R Nagar Mysore from 2016 and continued teaching in High school. She was suffering from chronic diabetes mellitus disease and asthma and was on treatment. On 26th morning she showed symptoms of uneasiness for which was taken to the hospital at KR Nagar. No sooner she was brought back to community at 1:00 pm than she suffered Cardiac arrest and left to her eternal abode in the presence of the community sisters. They commended her soul to God. Her Funeral rites will be held at Divine Mercy Church, KR Nagar, Mysore on 27.11.2022 at 3:00 pm
I extend my sincere condolences to Sr Sahana BS, the Provincial Superior and all the sisters of Bangalore Province; Sr Molly Sharon, the local Superior and the members of St Joseph's Convent, K.R. Nagar.
