Sr Mediatrice BS (90) of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany, Mangalore passed away on Monday 22nd March 2021 at Maryvale Convent, Kinnigoli due to age ailments and cardiac arrest. She was born on 15th September 1931 at Kottuvally in Ernakulum District of Kerala. She is the daughter of the late Mr KV Augustine and the late MrsAnna. She has four brothers and one sister. Her sister is Sr Beatrice who left for her eternal abode on 26th January 2016. She joined the Bethany Congregation on 23rd October 1951 and made her first profession on 1st June 1953 and final profession in the year 1960. She served in the field of education as teacher and Headmistress in various institutions of the Congregation.

After her first profession she,served as an efficient teacher in many of our institutions. She was committed and hard working. She was known for her efficeincy in teaching and her love for pastoral work. She has served at Santa Cruz Convent Kulshekar, Madeleine Convent Mulki,St Joseph’s Convent Sagar, Ave Maria Convent Sirsi, Rosa Mystica Convent Kinnikambla, St Pauls Convent Balkunje, Holy Family Convent Bajpe, St Martha Convent Mudigere and Maryvale Convent, Kinnigoli.
After her retirement she rendered her service for Karnataka open school in Vamanjoor for 11 years, office in charge of CODP of Mangalore Diocese for three years and assisted atL M Pinto Health Centre, Badyarandlater devoted her time in prayer and in pastoral work.

Sr Mediatrice was blessed with good health till her last day. On 21st March 2021 she attended all the community exercises and managed herself till she went to bed. As she was rising early morning from her bed she had massive cardiac arrest. Immediately she collapsed and commended her soul to her creator.
Her funeral ceremony will be held on Tuesday 23rd March 2021 at 10am at Immaculate Conception Church, Kinnigoli.

I extend my sincere condolences to Sr CiciliaMendonca, the Provincial Superior and her team as well as Sr Lydia Mendonca, the Superior and the community members of Maryvale Convent, Kinnigoli for the loving care that they bestowed on her especially during her illness.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace!
