Sr M Mirabelle BS
Sr Mirabelle BS (101 years) of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany, Mangalore, Northern Province, passed away on Tuesday 25.02.2020 at 3.15 pm at DMC Hospital, Ludhiana. She was admitted in DMC Hospital, Ludhiana on 11.02.2020 for acute respiratory ailment.
She is the daughter of late Mr Piadade Gonsalves and Mrs Bridget Gonsalves. She hails from Kulshekar, Mangalore. Her funeral rights will be held at Sacred Heart Convent, Ludhiana on 27.02.2020 at 3.00 pm.
Sr Mirabelle joined the Congregation in the year 1936 and made her first profession in the year 1941. She rendered her service in Bethany Convent, Mangalore, Rosa Mystica, Kinnikambla, Presentation Convent, Dharwad, Madeleine Convent, Londa, Gratia Plena Convent, Santibastwad, Bale Kundri, Belgaum, Christ King Convent, Guledgudd, Fatima Convent, Madanbhavi, Maryvale Convent, Kinnigoli and Sacred Heart Convent, Ludhiana 1965 till date (54 years). She served in the field of weaving, social work and home management.
For many years she enjoyed good health without any major health issues. A few times she was admitted in DMC Hospital, Ludhiana when she had a fall and fractured her hip, and also for respiratory problems. Her final call came today at 3.00 pm due to lung infection.
I express my sincere condolences to Sr Erasma, her team, and all the sisters of Northern Province and in a special manner to Veronica Monteiro, the Superior, and all the members of the Sacred Heart Convent community, Ludhiana.
