Sr M Ancita BS (81) nee Tresiamma Jacob of Bethany Congregation, Southern Province, passed away on February 7, 2020 at 10.55 am at Bethany Convent, Chevayur, Calicut. She hails from Edathuva, Alappey District from the Diocese of Chenganacherry. She is the daughter of late Mr K V Chacko and Roamma Kattampally. Her funeral rites will be held at Bethany Provincial House, Chevayur on February 8, 2020 at 09:00 am.
Sr M Ancita BS was a teacher by profession, and rendered her service as a teacher and Headmistress in different Schools. She also was Superior in St Annn’s Pathanpuram and Bethany Convent, Chevayur. Sr Ancita served in the communities of Pallikunnu, West Hill, Pathanapuram, Thalamukil, Thyckal, and Chevayur.
She was a committed and dedicated teacher and after her retirement, she worked at Sreyas - the Social work centre of Kollam Diocese. She was also fully engaged in pastoral work of the parishes where ever she was. All through her years she worked zealously. She was very cheerful always and offer loving smile to all. She used to pray for sick and suffering and enquire about the welfare of others. She was suffering from respiratory problem which led to Pneumonia and was admitted to hospital on 16th January 2020, and passed away from Baby Memorial Hospital Kozhikode.
I express my sincere condolences to the members of Bethany Convent Chevayur and in a special manner to Sr Santhosh Maria the Provincial Superior, her team and members of the Southern Province.
Eternal Rest grant unto her O Lord,
And let perpetual light shine upon her
