Sr Liliola (89), nee Thresiamma Chellappillil, of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany, Southern Province, passed away today (08.06.2019) at 5.30 p.m at St Joseph’s Convent, Kalpetta, Kerala. . Funeral rites will be held at Sacred Heart Church Kalpetta, on 09.06.2019 at 3.30 pm, which will be officiated by Most Rev Dr Varghese Chakkalakal, Bishop of Calicut.
She hails from Cherumanoor, Kottayam, in the Diocese ofPalai. She is the eldest daughter of late Mr Joseph and Mrs Mary Nilakkanath. Sr Liliola joined the Congregation on 05.08.1950 and made her first profession on 01.06.1953 and perpetual profession on 09.06.1959.
She rendered her service at Pariapuram, Lourdu Convent,Pallikunnu, Rosa Mystica Convent Kinnikambla, Belgaum, St Joseph’s Convent Sagar, Vidhya Rani Convent, Chittapur, St Joseph’s Convent Kalpetta. She was suffering fromacute rheumatism for 39 years. For the last 4 years she was totally bed ridden due to paralysis and age related health issues.
This morning she was found physically weak and her home going seemed near. She peacefully flew to heaven in the presence of sisters of the community and the Parish Priest.
