Bendur Mangalore 1 March 2019: Sr M Thecla BS (90) nee Annakutty KT of Bethany Congregation, Southern Province passed away on 27th February 2019,at 3.50 pm at Lourdes Convent, Pallikunnu,Wayanad Dt, Kerala. She hails from Palai Diocese in Kottayam District,Kerala. She is the first daughter among six children of late Mr & Mrs Thomas and ThresiammaKunnel,Purayidathil.
Her funeral rites will be held on 28th February 2019 at 9:30 am at LourduMatha Church, Pallikunnu, Wayanad by Rt Rev. Dr Varghese Chakkalakal, Bishop of Calicut.
Sr Thecla has rendered her services in the Nursery Schools, Social work Centres and has involved in pastoral care in our communities of West Hill, Mother House Mangalore,Bajpe, Balkunje, Gardenahally, Puthenthope,Chempanoda and Pallikunnu.She was very cheerful, polite and gentle in her ways.She would spend lot of time in the Chapel conversing with her Lord and Master.
All through her years she worked zealously in the communities caring for the sisters, other inmates and people in the parishes and safe guarded the temporalities of the house wherever she was. She had great love for the poor and sick and would visit them very often.She was suffering from illnesses related to old age and was bed ridden for the last two months.
Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord and perpetual light shine upon her; may her soul rest in peace.
