May 27, 2018: Sr M Prudentia BS nee Marykutty P.T. of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany, Mangalore, belonging to BangaloreProvince passed away on Sunday 27th May 2018 at 5.30am at the age of 74 at St Martha’s Hospital Bengaluru.
Funeral ritewill be on 28.05.2018 at 11.00 am at Jyothi Nilaya Convent Chapel,Bengaluru.
Sr Prudentia hails fromPathampuzha, Idiki District, Diocese of PalaiKerala. She is the eldest among the seven children of late K J Joseph and Mariamma Joseph.
Sr Prudentia BS is a prayerful and hardworking person,punctual for all the activities. Perfection was the hallmark of her given responsibility;shewas ready forany type of work. She has served the Congregation in the capacity of asuperior of St Joseph’s Convent,Sagar, St Joseph’s Convent,KR Nagar,St Mary’s Convent,Kutta, St Antony’s Ponnampet, Bethany Convent,Kable and St Paul’s Convent,Thenhipalam.As a trainedteacher sheserved as headmistress at different schools of our Educational Society at Sagar, KR Nagar,Arsikere, Kutta,Ponnampet and Gulabi Primary School.
After her retirement from teaching, she served inour communities at Kable, Madikeri and Doddabelavangala. Later she joined the community atJyothiNilaya, Bengaluru due to her ill health.She would spend most of the day before the Blessed Sacrament. In themonth of January 2018, she had a fall and underwent a surgery for multi-fractureof the leg. After that, she was confined to her room. When her condition became worse, she was admitted to St.Martha’s hospital on 22nd May 2018. On 27th she had cardiac arrest at 5.30 am. Sr Prudentiawaswell disposed to meet her Maker and flew to her Heavenly reward.May her soul rest in peace
