“Now therefore may it please you to bless the house of your servants, so that it may continue forever before you. For you, O Lord GOD, have spoken, and with your blessing shall the house of your servants be blessed forever.” (2 Samuel 7:29)

The auspicious day, the long awaited day of the fulfilment of the promise of the Lord dawned on 29 August 2020 when Sr. Erasma BS the Provincial Superior of Northern Province ceremoniously inaugurated the new Convent building of Bethany Convent, Pakhal. The Parish Priest Fr. Moben Michael blessed the House after the solemn Eucharist in the Convent Chapel. The Lord was pleased to show us His steadfast love on a day dedicated to our Blessed Mother Centenary Year of Bethany’s Foundation. Fr Anshu the Assistant Parish Priest and Fr. Chetan Machado the National Youth Director blessed both the buildings simultaneously.

Sr Molly the Superior of the house expressed her sentiments of gratitude to God, our Superior General Sr Rose Celine and her team, to Provincial Superior Sr Erasma and her collaborators, the former Provincial Superior Sr Jyoti and her team and all those who supported to make things possible to have a new Convent. The builders were also remembered for their committed service.

The presence of Sr Erasma, the Provincial Superior along with her entire team, representatives from our neighboring communities, CSST Sisters from Faridabad, OCD priests of Pali, the Architect, Contractor, Engineers, BLA members, members of BSSS Faridabad brought blessings and joy to the new house.

It is right and proper to recall that the Bethany Sisters having served for 40 years at Bethany Convent, A-2 Central Green, Faridabad had to move out of the place as per the mind of the Archdiocese of Delhi in the year 2017 and were housed on rent till they found this new abode built by the Congregation.

May God’s grace and blessing remain with us always so that we may radiate His love, compassion and blessing to all those who enter this Bethany Home.
