Our hearts resonate with gratitude along with the Magnificat of Mary our Mother. We the 23 Silver Jubilarians of 2020-21 batch, bow our heads in thankfulness to Almighty God who made this event a greatmilestone for all of us.
The Silver Jubilee celebration of Religious Profession was held on 27th April 2021 at Prabhodhana, Mysore. At 12 noon, the Eucharistic celebration was officiated by Rev John Peter the Rector of the Pallotine Seminary and concelebrated by Fr Rajesh the Dean of Studies and Fr Matthew the spiritual director. A short felicitation programme was held; Rev Sr Rose Celine the Superior General congratulated each Silver Sister with much appreciation and love. She brought home the message that we are precious to God therefore to love and cling on to him alone. Sr Shanthi Priya the General Councillor and coordinator for Silver Jubilee Programme welcomed and Sr Cicilia Mendonca the Provincial Superior of Mangalore Province compeered the programme.
It was the unseen hand of God which led us all through these years to persevere in the precious vocation to religious life. Though our journey was comprised of a variety of circumstances, experiences of joy and sorrow, elation and disappointment, the expected and unexpected, good andbad, yet the journey was a pleasant one because Jesus has been the anchor of our religious life.We never felt alone because JESUS was the one navigating our journey.
This 15-day renewal programme at Prabodhana, Mysore, amidst the nature’s bounty providedthe best sessions namely Sr Lilitta BS on Consecrated Life,Rev Fr Greogry D’Souza OCD on Mysticism and Contemplation, Sr Sahana BS on Formation of Conscience,Sr Rose Celine BS on Psycho-Spiritual Integrationand Fr Fedrick SJ on Discernment. It was an opportunity to look back with gratitude,filledwith passion for the present and embrace the future with hope.
We the Silver Jubilarians remain indebted to dear Sr Rose Celine the Superior Generaland her Councillors for providingopportunity for all-round renewal and rejuvenation to proceed on the journey of faith.Our sincere thanks to Sr Shanthi Priya the coordinator,for meticulous planning and accompaniment. Our gratitude goes to our respective Provincial Superiors, Local Superiors and Community Sisters with whom we have lived and shared our mission.
As we march forward, we trust in God’s plans which are for our welfare (cfJer29:11) and resolve to be a sacrament of God’s love for the world.
