June 10, 2020 was a day of Jubilation and a day of immense blessing in the history of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany as the installation ceremony of the Provincial Superior of Bangalore Province and her councillors took place at Bethany Provincial House, Bangalore. In preparation for installation ceremony Eucharist was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Joseph Nazareth SJ. He emphasized on the qualities of Servant Leadership mainly, integrity, humility, flexibility and empathy.

Thereafter Sr Rose Celine, the Superior General officially installed Sr Sahana the Provincial Superior and her Councillors, Sr Precilla Fernandes, Sr Sharlet Rodrigues, Sr Cynthia Pais and Sr Winnifred Mascarenhas during the hour of prayer. The ceremony was symbolic and heartwarming. She exhorted the Provincial Superior and the councillors to grow in the love of God and members of the province which is the pre-requisite to be a Shepherd. She called on the new team to be the cistern of God’s love by sitting before the Blessed Sacrament and drink from the source as per the desire of our Founder Servant of God RFC Mascarenhas and thereafter meet the humanity.

This was followed by felicitation progamme, during which the Superior General congratulated Sr Sahana, the Provincial Superior and her Councillors and assured her guidance and support at all times. She thanked the outgoing Provincial Superior Sr Bonita and Sr Susan the Asst. Provincial Superior for their valuable service to the province. She recalled the yeoman services rendered by former Provincial Superiors Sr Dymphna, Sr Felicia and Sr Lilitta. Sr Bonita in turn thanked the Superior General for her guidance and support, her team for their collaboration and all the members of the Province for their co-operation, life of commitment and prayers.

This treasured event was witnessed by few sisters from the neighboring communities due to lock down. It was a day of joy and thanksgiving!
