June 7, 2017: The seven Pre-Novices from five states of India were initiated into the Novitiate by Rev Sr Cicilia Mendonca, the Provincial Superior of Mangalore Province. She invited the Novices to ‘climb the mountain of holiness’ by taking the means of Personal prayer, Daily Eucharist and the Word of God. Sr Santhosh Maria, the Provincial Superior of Southern Province, broke the Word of God and invited the formees to abide in the Lord with deeper longing and by being conscious of every day and its activities. The presence of Sr Assumpta, the Provincial Superior of Western Province, Sr Susan, the assistant provincial superior of Bangalore Province, Sr Roshel the assistant Provincial Superior of Mangalore Province, Sr Juliana, the superior of Rosa Mystica Convent, and the community Sisters added joy to the celebration. Sr Sharon, the Novice Directress, welcomed the gathering; second year novices gave a befitting programme based on the meaning of the Novitiate. Thereafter they were congratulated by Sr Cicilia Mendoca for completing the canonical year of Novitiate. Programme was concluded by honouring Mother Mary with a hymn.
