Bethany, Bendur15 September:A rousing welcome was accorded to Bishop Rogath Kimario of Same Diocese in Tanzania, at Bethany Generalate on 14 September 2018. He came to India to witness the Episcopal Ordination of Msgr Peter Paul Saldanha as the Bishop of Mangalore Diocese. Sr Rose Celine the Superior General along with the General Councilors and the members of the community welcomed him with a traditional shawl, singing the Bethany Anthem. Bishop Kimario appreciated the service of Bethany sisters in his diocese imparting education to young girls and medical care in two communities in his diocese and expressed his gratitude for their presence and collaboration. He also presented the traditional shawl and stole to the Superior General as a token of love and appreciation. We cherish this visit.
Along with the Bishop Mrs William Elizabeth, Immigration Officer from Maushi and Fr Alwyn D’Souza the Mission Director of Same Mission in Tanzania adopted by Mangalore Diocese were also welcomed heartily.
