Mangalore, 5th September: The Annual meeting of the Formators was held on 14th and 15th of August, organized by Sr Lillis, the General Coordinator for formation and attended by 50 sisters including the Superior General, Councilors, Procurator General, Provincial Superiors, province coordinators of formation and a few provincial councilors and a large number of formators from all stages. The theme of the meeting was ‘Formation for holiness of Life’. Sr Rose Celine in her keynote address underscored the significance of formation as sharing in the work of the Holy Trinity in shaping Jesus in the hearts of the formees. She cited the obstacles in formation and the means to be taken specially the practice of beatitudes, the Christian identity card. The two resource persons were Sr Sahana, the Provincial Councillor who spoke on Formation for Holiness of life with reference to the Apostolic Exhortation of Pope Francis Gaudate et Esultate and Sr Priya Rose whose topic was Positive mind for following Jesus based on Cognitive behavior therapy. While Sr Sahana illustrated growth in holiness by responding in faith to ordinary situations of life, Sr Priya Rose expounded on the distortions of our thought pattern which make us unhappy.
