Bethany 22,August:The combined annual meeting of the Coordinators for Social-Medical ministry of the Congregation was held on Aug 18, 2018 at Bethany Mother House. It was attended by the Provincial Superiors, 36 participants from all the provinces, Central Administration and one representative from Delegation Abroad. It was organized by the General Coordinator Sr Shanthi Priya. This meeting was intended to focus on the thrust of the XVI general chapter i.e mission of anti human trafficking, safe migration, care of the catholic migrant youth, palliative and geriatric care and alternative systems of medicine… so as to review and reorient the Social-Medical ministry in the Congregation.
On this occasion Sr Rose Celine, Superior General released the book written by Sr Dr Shalet Mendonca titled: A Spirituality of “Making –Whole” – cry of the Earth and the Poor. She also honoured the author in the presence of the august gathering. Thereafter Sr Dr Shalet Mendonca gave a session to the participants on –‘Called to Ecological wholeness - heeding to the cry of the earth and the poor’.
