February 10,2018 On the eve of the Feast of our Lady of Lourdes, the Sisters of Bethany Mother House, Generalate and Juniorate communities gathered together to pray the Holy Rosary at our grotto in Bethany. On this occasion, a brief history of our grotto was read out. It was on 12th November 1931, the statue of our Lady placed in the grotto was brought to Bethany. On 21stNovember, the feast of the Presentation of our Lady, after the Eucharistic Celebration, the statue was blessed and solemnly installed in the grotto by our Founder himself.
On this beautiful day of the 160th anniversary of Mary’s apparition at Lourdes we offered our homage to our Blessed Mother. We moved in procession with lighted candles from the grotto to our Founder’s cottage and then to the Generalate garden. It was a beautiful occasion to sing the praises of Mary, the queen of the Holy Rosary and express our love and devotion to her.
