January 20,2018: The members of the Enlarged Council assembled in the chapel on 8th January, the Feast of the Baptism of our Lord, for the Eucharistic celebration. The feast invited the participants to experience the filial love of the Father. Thereafter, the members gathered at St Raymond’s Memorial Hall, symbolically each one poured a drop of oil in the lamp and lit it reminding the presence of the Lord amidst the members.

Sr Lillis, the Asst Superior General, accorded a warm welcome to all the participants. Sr Rose Celine, the Superior General, in her key note address personally welcomed everyone. She invited the members to have depth in prayer and to develop spousal relationship with Jesus. She highlighted the vision of our Founder and accentuated to live the Mystery of Incarnation and Annunciation joyfully through our Consecrated life and surrender to God’s Will.

Sr Philsy Euphresia CMC, the resource person of the day, began the session quoting from the book ‘To you my daughters’  letter no 83 which she linked with the Little Flower and drew all to the heart of St Therese and made to repeat the short phrase “Little Flower, show thy power, at this hour.” She spoke on the importance of Founder being a saint and to have devotion to his Relics. Quoting Mt 11/28 she said that like the Founder we, his daughters, need to have humility at the core of our being as leaders. An hour of Adoration was conducted with praise and worship. Eucharistic anointing was indeed an experiential hour of intimacy with Jesus.

The members of the Enlarged Council dealt on the atmosphere in the provinces/communities and evaluated different apostolates. Further, they reviewed the preparation for the Centenary Celebration and drew up a plan of action.

In the concluding message Sr Rose Celine, the Superior General, said that our ‘zeal for Christ’ compels us to look forward to continue His mission.  She urged us to continue to make impact on the world.  She thanked her Councillors, Procurator General and all the participants for their generous contribution for the success of the meeting.
