October 5, 2017: With a desire of reviving our spirit and renewing our lives, we the 14 Sisters who are working in the 4 communities of Italy, came together with eagerness and joy on the 27th of September 2017 to the community at Caritas- San Benedetto for a seminar. We were blessed with the presence of Sister Rose Celine, Our Superior General, and Sister Shanthy Priya, her 2nd Counsellor who were on their canonical visitation of the communities at Delegation Abroad. It was our great privilege to listen to the reflective and inspiring sessions of our Superior general on “Mary’s Fiat- a model for our faith response,” and formation of conscience; and Sister Shanthy Priya’s enriching and thought provoking talk on mission Spirituality. Both of them challenged us to be God oriented and mission oriented by being open to the Spirit of God who speaks to us in the inner sanctuary of our being, through the daily situations of life, and the social and political issues that take place around us. We were made aware of the clarion call of the XVIth General Chapter- a call towards transformation unto Christ and the ‘fiat’ spirituality which is an invitation towards transparency, accountability, building community of communion and especially caring for the dehumanized society.
