March 15th 2017: Sr Reena D’Souza of Northern Province presented her research work on the 50th anniversary of Annual Catalysis Meeting (Jahrestreffen Deutscher Katalytiker), from 15th to 17th March 2017, which was one of the most important meetings in Germany for catalysis experts from universities, research institutes and industry from all over the world. More than 600 participants met in Weimar, Germany to exchange ideas and share new developments and the latest results in all areas of catalysis. She also presented a poster on the theme ‘Highly efficient iron oxide supported sulfonated graphene oxide for esterification and transesterification reactions’.
She was also invited for a poster presentation on the theme ‘Graphene based solid acid catalyst for the conversion of waste cooking oil to biodiesel’, at ‘9th workshop on fats and oils as renewable feedstock for the chemical industry’ at Karlsruhe, Germany from 19th to 21st March 2017. She attests that she had a wonderful experience meeting the Scientists and Research Scholars from all around the world to get more insight into the status of current research in the field of Catalysis and Renewable Sources of Energy.
